At the beginning of the school year, we started out with a lot of cooperative team building activities so we could get to know our classmates, I could learn names, and we could learn what the expectations for Physical Education are. At the end of August and in to the beginning of September, we have been doing the President's Challenge, which tests students' fitness levels. While I am testing a group of students, the rest of the class is divided into 3 or 4 different groups. They participate in different stations, such as basketball, soccer, bowling, jump rope, hula hoop, frisbee, etc. Everyone is able to stay active and engaged even when they are not testing. Students have done a really great job so far and I will look forward to seeing who our Presidential and National Award winners are. It is quite an accomplishment!
